Health Workshops

French-language health promotion initiatives across the province.

Through their complementary actions, CBEP and Éduc-franco santé offer community-based health promotion initiatives that address the diverse needs of Francophones in Alberta. The Alberta Health Network is proud to partner with these organizations and fund their activities, thereby contributing to strengthening individual and collective health capacities, while promoting education, prevention, and autonomy in an inclusive and accessible way.

The Centre for Wellness and Prevention for Afro-Canadians in Alberta (CBEP) is a key organization that aims to raise awareness among members of immigrant communities about health issues and to develop health education, health promotion, prevention, and early detection programs for chronic diseases. Health promotion initiatives in French across the province include Éduc-franco santé workshops and other initiatives.

Éduc-franco santé is a workshop model focused on promoting good health at all stages of life, from women to children. These workshops address various topics related to physical, mental, and social well-being, in order to encourage healthy lifestyle habits. The approach aims to equip participants with practical and accessible information to improve their daily lives and make informed health decisions.
