About
Health Day is a major annual event organized by the Alberta Health Network (AHR), now in its third year. It takes place during Canadian Francophonie Month and aims to highlight Francophone health professionals in Alberta by showcasing their expertise and commitment to their communities.
More than just a networking event, Health Day is a time for sharing, connecting, and recognizing those who work in various health fields (physical, mental, wellness, and health promotion adapted to cultural diversity and all ages). It is also a tribute to the leaders and professionals who, through their dedication, make an invaluable contribution to the vitality and well-being of Francophone communities.
This provincial event, held both in person in several cities and online, brings together the general public, healthcare professionals and managers, as well as community leaders. It provides a space to express needs, share experiences, learn about available resources, strengthen community engagement, and promote access to healthcare in French.
This day aims to:
- To provide a space for expression and exchange on the accessibility of health services in French.
- Equip participants with practical knowledge and resources.
- Mobilizing the community to improve access to healthcare in French.
- Highlighting the services of the Alberta Health Network.
- Encourage the active supply and demand for health services in French.
