Réseau Santé Alberta, the Coalition des femmes de l’Alberta and the Fédération des aînés franco-albertains are proud to work with Imagine Institute for Learning to deliver, in 2024, mental health first aid training to support seniors.

Thanks to the Mental Health Commission of Canada, Mental Health First Aid, and the Government of Alberta, this training is offered free of charge, in French and online.

It was designed for people who have frequent contact with seniors — for example, family members, friends, caregivers, loved ones, community health workers, and volunteers.

The training aims to:

-Recognize the development of indicator symptoms of mental health problems or crises.

-Offer initial help in case of a mental health problem or crisis.

-Direct a senior or natural caregiver to appropriate professional help.

-Offer strategies and resources to support seniors and natural caregivers.

****Dates: November 18 and 19, 2024
